This Privacy Policy explains how HKETA ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and handles your information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have full control over your data.

1. Information We Process

Location Data (Strictly Local)

To provide core functionality, the app requires access to your device's location coordinates.

• How it is used: Your location data is used exclusively to determine your proximity to transit stops or relevant points of interest.
• Where it is stored: This data is processed and stored only locally on your device.
• Data Transmission: Your location coordinates are never transmitted to our backend servers, databases, or any third parties.

Stop ID Data (Network Requests)

When you manually select a stop or location within the app, the app communicates with our backend servers to fetch the relevant information for that selection.

• How it is used: The app sends the specific "Stop ID" you selected to our servers to retrieve the corresponding schedule or data.
• What is excluded: This network request contains only the requested Stop ID. It does not include your geolocation coordinates, device identifiers, or any personally identifiable information (PII).

2. Data Storage and Security

Because your geolocation data never leaves your device, its security is managed entirely by your device's operating system (iOS/Android). We do not maintain any central database of our users' locations or movement histories.

3. Third-Party Access

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to outside parties. The only network communication initiated by the app is the anonymous retrieval of data based on user-selected Stop IDs from our proprietary backend.

4. Your Rights and Controls

You have full control over your data directly through your device settings:

• Revoke Location Access: You can disable location permissions for HKETA at any time in your device's system settings. Note that doing so may limit the app's functionality.
• Clear Local Data: You can clear the app's local storage or uninstall the app to permanently delete any saved coordinates or preferences on your device.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and, if necessary, prompting you with a notice within the app.
